This private house in Fort Lauderdale is part of a 1960s architectural renovation of a distinctive residential property, reinterpreted to support a contemporary lifestyle centered around hospitality and shared experiences.
Amar was actively involved in the concept design of the main kitchen, the wine lounge and the owners’ master bedroom — spaces identified by the clients as the social and emotional core of the house. The brief provided by the property owners clearly defined the direction of the project: to create welcoming and convivial environments where scenography and functionality could coexist seamlessly.
The kitchen and wine lounge were conceived as interconnected spaces designed to host guests while maintaining a strong functional identity. Spatial composition, material selection and lighting were carefully coordinated to support both everyday use and more formal entertaining moments, without compromising usability.
Throughout the development of the project, particular attention was given to budget control and material coordination. Amar worked closely with the clients to evaluate alternatives, balance aesthetic ambitions with cost constraints and ensure consistency across finishes and furnishings, aligning design intent with practical execution.
The result is a refined yet approachable interior, where architectural heritage, contemporary living and economic discipline converge into a cohesive residential experience.
