The La Suiza Club House was developed as a private clubhouse within an exclusive polo club in the Dominican Republic, conceived to support both social life and moments of retreat in a tropical environment.
The architectural concept is based on openness and flexibility. Large, fully openable glass façades allow the interior spaces to extend naturally towards the outdoor areas, creating a continuous relationship between the clubhouse, the terrace and the surrounding landscape. A shaded portico and an open-air terrace were designed to ensure usability throughout the day while addressing climate, sun exposure and natural ventilation.
At the core of the project, a large convivial kitchen was conceived as the social heart of the clubhouse — a space designed to encourage informal interaction among guests, reinforcing the club’s sense of community beyond sporting activities.
In contrast with the shared areas, a compact private office was integrated for the owner, conceived as a quiet retreat from the city. This space offers privacy and focus while remaining physically and conceptually connected to the life of the club.
Amar supported the project through a tailored procurement strategy, coordinating the selection of furniture, fixtures and finishes to ensure consistency with the architectural vision while maintaining budget control and delivery reliability. Particular attention was given to sourcing solutions suitable for the tropical context, balancing material performance, aesthetics and long-term durability.
The project represents an integrated approach to private hospitality, where architectural intent, procurement strategy and operational constraints are aligned to deliver a coherent, functional and refined environment.
